GNU screenでは未実装なので使えないのですね．tmuxに移行する理由が増えました．

tmux での貼り付け設定は試してみます️

出来ないですね。端末エミュレータの機能の一つであるBracketed Paste Modeを利用しているので、端末エミュレータ(この場合はscreen)が対応していないと使えません。

デフォルト設定では使えませんが、キーバインドを変更すれば使えるようになります。

bind-key -T prefix ] paste-buffer -p
