先日snap版Firefoxのアップデートに悩んだり，KeepassXCのブラウザ統合がsnap版に非対応だったりしてsnap版のFirefoxが使いづらいなと感じています．
Ubuntu Mozilla TeamのPPA版Firefox ESRに入れ替えてみました．
まず，既存のFirefoxを削除します．
$ sudo snap remove firefox $ sudo apt purge firefox
Note | snapパッケージだけでなく，Ubuntuのfirefoxパッケージがありました，snap版がない状態で実行するとsnap版を導入するよう言われました． $ firefox Command '/usr/bin/firefox' requires the firefox snap to be installed. Please install it with: snap install firefox |
PPAの登録を行いパッケージの更新を行います．
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/ppa $ sudo apt update
firefox パッケージはsnapですが， firefox-esr はさっき登録したPPA版に向いています．
$ apt show firefox
